Roadway Redesign and Monument Considerations

The City of Tucker is considering a redesign of the Rosser Road / Hugh Howell / Stoneleigh intersection. The current concept would shift and widen Rosser Road behind the Rosser Stack, placing the monument so close to the new roadway that it would likely require demolition. The City has not disclosed any plan to rebuild, relocate, or reimburse the community if the monument is removed.

The Smoke Rise Civic Association has maintained and improved the Rosser Stack for more than five decades, and community input is needed as the city evaluates its options.
